Nexus is a global movement to bridge communities of wealth, influence and social entrepreneurship. Founded in 2011 with headquarters in Washington, D.C. and thousands of members from 70 countries, Nexus works to unite young investors, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists and allies to catalyze new leadership and accelerate global solutions. Annual global summits are held at the United Nations Secretariat; country and regional summits are held around the world.
In 2012, NextNow Collaboratory began incubating and funding the development of what would become the Invest In Yourself (IY) at Nexus Lab.Since then, IY has been rated one of the most popular themes and curated tracks at the global summits.
Invest in Yourself (IY) is focused solely on developing the inner dimension of leadership. It designs and facilitates opportunities for Nexus members to explore purpose and values and to increase social, emotional and physical well being, leveraging the causal relationship between personal and global change. Programming promotes living more sustainable, purposeful and joyful lives resulting in more meaningful impact, through both a curated track at the Nexus Global Youth Summit and at retreats dedicated to “going deeper.”
